2010-2011 Campaign Goal - $1 million!
Greg Withrow, Campaign Chair

Withrow Named Campaign Chair for United Way 2010-2011 Campaign
Greg Withrow, general manger of El Dorado Chemical, has been named Chairman of the United Way of Union County ’s 2010-2011 campaign.
Withrow will lead the campaign toward this year’s $1 million goal, said United Way Executive Director Alexis Alexander . An established community leader, Withrow will provide the direction needed to develop and implement plans to encourage giving throughout the community through the annual campaign.
“It is an honor to be selected to chair this year’s campaign and I am looking forward to working with the campaign cabinet, the loaned executives and countless volunteers and contributors who make this campaign successful year after year,” Withrow said.
Alexander also announced this year’s campaign theme – Building for the Future.
“In the last year, the needs of the community have grown and we are asking you to build for the future,” she said. “If you have contributed in the past, please consider “building” on to your pledge by $1 a pay period. If you give a one-time pledge, consider “building” it by 1%.”
Withrow added that the citizens of Union County have been very generous in their support of the United Way and he hopes to see that support continue.
“The United Way of Union County , through the support of local citizens and the business community, has built on successful campaigns over the last few years,” he said. “It is important to remember the United Way supports 13 local agencies that provide services directly to the people of Union County , and in today’s economic climate these services become even more important to our friends and neighbors.”
The United Way of Union County is one of the community’s strongest organizations, he added. Programs and services provided through its member agencies served more than 25,000 residents last year and continue to work toward enhancing the quality of life in Union County.
“I know this community will continue the generous support of the important work being done by the United Way of Union County ,” Withrow said, “especially since 100% of United Way donations stay right here in Union County and directly benefit programs and services.”
Withrow’s campaign cabinet includes: Jim Tidwell, Chemtura, Industrial Division; Rodney Milam, Milam Construction, Construction Division; Clark Burton, Union County Sheriff’s Office, Government Division; Jay Helm, Office Equipment of Southern Arkansas, Small Business Division; Larkin Wilson, DDS, Medical Division; Nate Evers, Evers Cox & Gober, Accounting Division; Dale Smart, Vickery & Smart, Legal Division; Bonnie Haynie, El Dorado Schools, Education Division; Phil Herring, Herring Furniture, County Division - Strong; Todd Cottrell, El Dorado Chemical, County Division – Smackover and Norphlet; Nick Macchiarolo, Special Gifts Division; Grady Tracy, South Arkansas Developmental Center for Children & Families, Agency Division; and Ralph Cole, El Dorado Chemical, County Division - Junction City.
